Android device hard reset instructions
This article applies to Dutchie POS and Greenbits.
This article applies to Dutchie Register terminal devices like the one pictured below.
Perform a hard reset on your Dutchie POS Register terminal (Elo Android device) if you have been unable to complete the standard reset process for migrating to SureMDM or if other troubleshooting steps haven't resolved an issue.
The following procedure will erase all user data and restore the device to factory settings.
- Unplug the Register terminal power cord from the wall outlet.
- Press and hold the home button, then plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Continue holding the home button until the Register terminal starts Android System Recovery.
- Press the home button six times to highlight Wipe data/factory reset, then press the power button to select it.
- Press the home button once to highlight Factory data reset, then press the power button to select it. The reset will take about 2 minutes.
- When the reset is complete, press the power button to select Reboot system now.
- Once rebooted, choose Enroll with GMS.
