Register terminal log in and peripheral configuration for Dutchie POS
This article applies to Dutchie POS.
This article applies to Dutchie Register terminal devices like the one pictured below.
Before configuring your peripherals, you need to connect each of your peripherals to the Register terminal and go through the initial start-up steps.
- Now your hardware is physically connected, powered on, and has performed the initial software setup. If these steps are successfully completed, the Register terminal will boot to the Dutchie POS Select your region screen. If Dutchie POS does launch automatically, tap the Dutchie POS application icon on-screen to begin.
- The Dutchie POS screen will ask you to select a Region. Your Region name appears just after https:// in the URL you use to sign in to the Register on a computer. Enter your region using the Region / Server input box, then tap Select.
- After selecting your region, you will be brought to the Dutchie POS login screen. Enter your Dutchie POS login credentials and tap Sign In. Then select your register from the menu.
- Once logged into the register, select Settings (gear icon) from the main menu on the left.
- To configure your Label printer:
- Select the Labels option from the left-hand menu of the Settings page. Tap the arrows next to the Labels title to refresh the printer connection.
- Ensure the Auto Print Labels and Use Local Receipt Printer settings are turned on.
- Select the Default Label dropdown menu and select Package Label.
- Select the Default Label Printer dropdown menu and select the connected label printer.
- To configure your receipt printer:
- Select the Receipts to option from the left-hand menu of the Settings page. Tap the arrows next to the Receipts title to refresh the printer connection.
- Ensure the Auto Print Receipts and Use Local Receipt Printer settings are turned on.
- Select the Receipt Printer dropdown menu and select the connected receipt printer.
- To configure your wired barcode scanner:
- Select the Scanners option from the left-hand menu of the Settings page. Tap the arrow next to the Scanner title to refresh the scanner connection.
- Select the Barcode Scanner dropdown menu and select the connected scanner.
- Recommended: Scan the Configuration Barcode on-screen.
- To configure your wireless barcode scanner:
- Select the Scanners option from the left-hand menu of the Settings page.
- Follow the steps listed under Connection Instructions to factory reset, then configure the wireless barcode scanner.
- After completing the Connection Instructions, tap the arrows next to the Scanner title to refresh the scanner connection.
- Select the Default Scanner dropdown menu and select the connected scanner.
