Add terpenes to your Dutchie Ecommerce menu items

Terpenes are a property of all cannabis products and are chemicals that are secreted in the same glands that produce cannabinoids like THC and CBD. They are the chemicals responsible for the way everything in nature smells and tastes, cannabis included.

Things to know

• Any adjustments made to the product's terpenes in Dutchie POS will appear in Dutchie Ecommerce on the next sync. Terpenes sync about once per hour.
• Terpenes will appear on the consumer menu underneath the product's effects.
• Terpenes are standardized. You cannot add terpenes that are not found in Dutchie Ecommerce or make changes to the existing terpenes.
• You can toggle between mg or % for terpene measurements.

Add terpenes to my Dutchie Ecommerce menu

There are two ways to add terpene information to your menu items.

1. If you use Dutchie POS, you can set terpenes in the Lab Result Details section in Dutchie POS and they will be pulled into Dutchie Ecommerce automatically, as a part of our integration.
2. If you do not use Dutchie POS, you can add terpene information manually in the Dutchie Ecommerce product info.

Sync terpenes via Dutchie POS 

1. To access terpenes details in your Dutchie POS account, go to Inventory > View Inventory  "Specific Product" > Lab Results.
2. Select a specific product and click the Lab Results icon.
3. Make any adjustments you need.
   
   

Add terpenes manually

1. In Dutchie Ecommerce, go to Menu.
2. Click the product you want to adjust.
3. Scroll down to Terpenes.
4. Click Add Terpenes.
5. Search for the terpene you want to add and add a value.
   The values can be added as a percentage, or as milligrams.
6. Click Save.
