Dutchie Kiosk
Follow this quick guide to learn how to set up the dutchie in-store kiosk
What's a dutchie Kiosk?
Kiosk is a feature that provides you with an in-store ordering interface for consumers. The kiosk menu can be loaded onto an in-store device used by customers for a more self-service style in-store ordering experience.
Dutchie Kiosk is a no-cost feature, however, we don’t supply the devices for this specific use. Any device that is web capable would work for use as a kiosk!

How does Kiosk work?
Kiosk displays a menu and checkout experience to your guests that reflects the payment options that you offer within your dutchie Admin. If you'd like to use this in your store, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager so they can help you get set up!
Setting Up Kiosk
If you need some assistance with setting up physical Kiosks in your store, we have partnered with Frank Mayer Inc who has been able to help many stores we work with. They're familiar with our product and what other stores have done to lock down the devices to prevent kiosk customers from navigating to another webpage.
Kiosk Best Practices
Limiting Guest Navigation on iPad
If you are planning to use iPads, we recommend saving the link to your Kiosk menu on the home screen of the iPad, then turning on Guided Access. Guided Access will allow you to lock down the iPad to a specific app.
Enabling Restrictions on iPad
If you'd like to ensure that customers don't leave the kiosk website in your store, you'll need to enable restrictions on Safari. Follow the instructions for enabling restrictions, which can be found in Apple's Support Center.
Hiding the Toolbar on Safari
You may also want to hide the toolbar at the top of the screen to discourage customers from trying to navigate off the kiosk link. To do this, follow the instructions for customizing toolbars on Safari, which can be found in Apples's Support Center.
Printing
You'll need to set your printers to make sure that they're ready to accept Kiosk orders. You would do this from the dutchie iPad, click on settings in dutchie admin, then click on Connected To and tap on Kiosk Orders.
Quantity Limits
Lastly, you will want to address your quantity thresholds for each store, as they'll have a separate set of thresholds for Kiosk. Most often those will be set much lower than the online order thresholds. These can be accessed via dutchie Admin > Settings > Integrations, click on the card of the POS you use -> Settings subheader -> Scroll down to Quantity Thresholds and click Edit next to the category.
