Set payment options for different order types in Dutchie Ecommerce
This article applies to Dutchie Ecommerce.
With Dutchie Ecommerce, you can associate different payment methods with different order types (delivery, curbside pickup, in-store pickup, etc.). This allows customers to view and indicate different payment options depending on the order type they have chosen.
Notice
This setting only allows customers to indicate how they intend to pay for their purchase. Payment is processed at the time of pick-up or delivery.
Dispensaries are responsible for processing all transactions through their POS system and collecting payment from customers at the time of pickup or delivery.
Change the payment types
- Log in to your Dutchie admin account.
- Go to Settings > Ordering.
- For each order type, select which payment types to accept.
Available payment options
- Pay by Bank (Dutchie Pay), Cash, Check, Credit Card (Non-Integrated), Credit Card (Merrco), Pay by phone, Hypur, Debit, CanPay
Notice
For all orders using credit card as payment type, the terminal receipt will include a line beneath the “Payment: Credit Card” display indicating the card type used and the last four digits of the card (ex. Visa ending in 4415).
Mercco
- When Merrco is enabled, no other payment method can be accepted except cash. You should assume all payments made through Merrco for Dutchie orders are paid. To verify this, click into any order from your Dutchie admin and consult the Payment line on the order.
- If you need to cross-reference a Dutchie order with the corresponding transaction in Merrco, click the “View Merrco ID” link to expose the ID and copy it.
Hypur
- Payments are accepted, transactions are viewed, and orders are reconciled in Hypur when it is enabled. To reconcile your Dutchie orders with your Hypur transactions, click “View Hypur ID” within an individual order and the full Hypur ID will appear.
- Payment transactions will not be processed until you complete the transaction within Hypur.
