Learn how to add, edit, and delete items or discounts from an order in Dutchie Ecommerce.

You can add, edit, or delete items or discounts from an order in Dutchie Ecommerce, or you can change the order type from pickup to delivery and vice-versa, as long as the order is open.

Things to know

  • If the order has already been closed, you must open the order before editing it.
  • As consumers won't be charged for most orders until pickup or delivery, adding or removing items from the order cart usually doesn't require refunds or new charges. If an order is pre-paid through Pay by Bank, you can instead cancel and re-process the transaction. The customer may see an additional temporary charge on their account that will disappear within a few days.
  • If you have an integrated POS with the Order Sync feature enabled, you cannot change an order type in Dutchie Ecommerce.

Edit an order

From the orders page, click on an order, scroll down to The Order section, and click Edit order.

Next, you can choose Add Item or Add Discount, change the Order type selection in the dropdown, or click the X next to an item or discount to remove it.

When you're finished making changes, click Save.
