Dutchie Ecommerce offers three separate carousels to recommend products to consumers. Learn about them in this article.
Things to know
- There are three types of recommended items: Related Items, Often Purchased With, and Buy it With.
Related Items
The Related Items carousel displays related products and products that other customers frequently purchase. These similar products will be selected from the same category as the product the consumer is currently looking at. If a consumer pulls up a specific strain of flower, the related items shown will also be in the flower category.
Often Purchased With
The Often Purchased With carousel displays items from a different category than the product that the consumer is currently looking at. If a consumer clicks on a flower product, this carousel will show products from a different category, such as edibles.
Buy it again
The Buy it Again carousel displays items that a consumer has purchased from your dispensary previously.
What is the difference between Often Purchased With and Related Items?
Related Items on the consumer-facing product detail page is popular items from the same category of the item that the consumer clicked into, while Often Purchased With shows items from another product category.
How it works
To populate these carousels, Dutchie pulls data on consumer purchasing patterns for products in the same category, in separate categories, and in previously purchased categories.
