By default, Dutchie Ecommerce automatically enforces the purchase limits set by your state or province. You can additionally put a per-customer limit on specific products, or you may choose to configure your own purchase limits that override the defaults.
Note: These features are only available to users with Store Settings permissions.
Set a limit per customer
- In Dutchie Ecommerce admin, open a menu item that you would like to place limits on.
- Use the Limit Per Customer dropdown to select the maximum quantity each customer should be allowed to purchase.
If you don't see this option, go to Settings > Store Menu, check the box for Enable Limit Per Customer, and click Publish.
- Click Save.
- Repeat this for any other menu items on which you want to place per-customer limits.
Set limits by category
Category limits override the market-specific default purchase limits set by your local regulators. This option is rarely used and not recommended for most operators.
- In Dutchie Ecommerce admin, go to Settings > Store Menu.
- Check the box for Bypass state purchase limits.
- Click Publish.
- Next, go to Settings > Store Info.
- Turn on the Category Limits toggle.
- Set limits for each category. Note that if you leave any category blank, the system will allow customers to add an unlimited quantity of that category to their order.
- Click Save.
