Set purchasing limits for customers in Dutchie Ecommerce
This article applies to Dutchie Ecommerce.
With Dutchie Ecommerce you can place purchase limits for menu items or within categories This feature allows you to set a maximum quantity that a customer is able to purchase, within a single sale.
Things to know
- You can limit by category or limit by item.
- When you enable purchase limits you may see an immediate decrease in orders and overall sales.
- To have these features enabled, contact Dutchie Support.
Set purchase limits for items
Note: This feature is only available to users with Store Settings permissions.
- In Dutchie Ecommerce admin, open the menu item that you would like to place limits on.
- Scroll to the bottom of the item where you will see the Limit Per Customer header.
- Use the drop-down to select the maximum quantity you want a customer to be allowed to purchase.
- Click Save.
You will need to complete this for each menu item that you want to place limits on.
Set purchase limits by adjusting category limits
- Contact Dutchie Support.
- Let them know which limits you would like for each of your categories.
Note: You can choose to set only the categories you wish to enforce, and can leave a category with unlimited purchasing allowance.
