A&D FX-300i Scale Configuration - Greenbits
This article applies to Greenbits.
Follow this guide to configure your A&D FX-300i scale for use with Greenbits. Note that this scale is not NTEP-certified. If you need an NTEP-certified scale, use the A&D FX-300iN.
Power on the scale
Connect the scale to a power outlet and wait for the Standby indicator, then press ON-OFF to turn the scale on
Configure transmission rate
- Press and hold the SAMPLE button to enter the configuration menu. Release the button once the display changes to bASFnc.
- Press SAMPLE repeatedly until the display reads SiF.
- Press PRINT once. The display will change to bPS, followed by a number.
- Press RE-ZERO or TARE repeatedly until the reading is:
- bPS 4 for the Integrated Scale and Weigh Station 2.0. This sets the scale's transmission rate to 9600 bps.
- bPS 2 for the Legacy Weigh Station. This sets the scale's transmission rate to 2400 bps.
- Press PRINT to save this setting.
- Turn the scale off and then on again.
Configure data parity
- Press and hold the SAMPLE button to enter the configuration menu. Release the button once the display changes to bASFnc.
- Press SAMPLE repeatedly until the display reads SiF.
- Press PRINT once. The display will change to bPS, followed by a number.
- Press the SAMPLE button repeatedly until you see btPr.
- Press RE-ZERO or TARE repeatedly to select either:
- btPr 2 for the Integrated Scale and Weigh Station 2.0. This configures the scale to 8 bits, non-parity.
- btPr 0 for the Legacy Weigh Station. This configures the scale to 7 bits, even parity.
- Press PRINT to save this setting.
- Turn the scale off and then on again.
Configure the scale to transmit weight readings to the Register app
- Press and hold the SAMPLE button to enter the configuration menu. Release the button once the display changes to bASFnc.
- Press SAMPLE repeatedly until the display reads dout.
- Press PRINT once. The display will change to Prt, followed by a number.
- Press RE-ZERO or TARE repeatedly until the display reads Prt 3.
- Press PRINT to save this setting.
- Turn the scale off and then on again.
