Create tags in Greenbits
This article applies to Greenbits.
When you add a tag to a Product, you are adding a keyword and search term to the Product. This can help you manage your inventory. You can filter based on tags to help you organize your data and quickly find Products. Any one product can have an unlimited number of tags.
Tags can also be used to set up discounts applicable only to specific items, and can be used to filter items in menu integrations. Creating tags requires the Update Products permission.
- In Inventory > Products, select any product to view the Details, then scroll down to the Tags field.
- Type a tag name into the Tags field.
Be sure to press Enter or Return on your keyboard to add the tag. The tag will not be added if you click out of the Tags field without pressing enter or return.
Adding a tag also saves it and makes it available to add to other products. - Once you've created this tag, to make it faster and easier to add this tag to other products it will appear as predictive text when you begin typing into another product's Tags field.
- Click Save at the top of the window.
To filter your inventory based on tags, go to the Inventory page, select Filter by > Tag. As you begin to type, tags will appear as predictive text. Press Enter.
