Nevada: How to assemble your Monthly Dispensary Report
The Nevada Department of Taxation requires dispensaries to submit a report of cannabis inventory and sales at the end of each quarter. The report template is broken down by month.
Overview
To get the information you need from Greenbits:
- Edit your Product Types so they match the state-defined Product Types listed below. Use the same unit of measure for all Products within each Product Type:

- Download the Dispensary Report template and instructions from the Department of Taxation website.
- Run a Detailed Manifest Report. This gives you the Quantity Purchased / Transferred In for each Product Type.
- Run a Sales by Product Type Report. This gives you the Quantity Sold, Sales In Dollars, and Average Price for each Product Type.
- Assemble the data from the two Greenbits reports into each of the monthly sections of the template.
- Submit your completed report to the Department of Taxation.
Run a Detailed Manifest Report
- Go to Insights > Manifests - Export.
- Find the Detailed Manifest Report.
- Enter the Start Date and End Date of your reporting period.
- Select Run Report.
- When the report is ready, select Download. You can also download the report later from the Tasks page.
- Open the downloaded .csv file in your spreadsheet program.
- Filter the Product Type column for the first Product Type in the template, Infused Edible.
- Use AutoSum on the Quantity column to find the total quantity of Infused Edibles you accepted during the reporting period.
- Enter this total in the Quantity Purchased / Transferred In column in the template.
- Repeat steps 7-9 for each of the other Product Types.
Run a Sales by Product Type Report
- Go to Insights > Report Builder Classic.
- Select a Date Interval, such as Last Month, or Choose Specific Dates.
- Set the By field to Product Type.
- Set the Column field to Sales.
- Set the Group By to None.
Enter the Quantity Sold for your unit-based (EA) Product Types
- Set the Measure field to units.
- Select the regenerate button

- The Total column shows the number of units sold from each unit-based Product Type. Enter these amounts in the Quantity Sold column in the template for each unit-based (EA) Product Type.
Ignore the Number of Sales column. This is the number of transactions that included this Product Type, not the number of units sold.
Enter the Quantity Sold for your weight-based (OZ and LB) Product Types
- Set the Measure field to weight.
- Select the regenerate button

- The Total column now shows the total weight sold from each weight-based Product Type. Convert grams values into ounces (OZ) or pounds (LB) as required.
- Enter these converted amounts in the Quantity Sold column in the template for each weight-based Product Type.
Enter the Sales in Dollars and Average Price for all Product Types
- Set the Measure field to dollars.
- Select the regenerate button

- The Total column now shows the total dollar amount sold from each Product Type. Enter these amounts into the Sales in Dollars column in the template for each Product Type.
- The Average Per Sale column shows the amounts to enter in the Average Price column in the template for each Product Type.
Submit your report
After you have filled out each of the three monthly sections, you are ready to submit your report to the Department of Taxation. Follow the instructions included in the template.
