Set up and manage tiered pricing
Before you begin
See our tiered pricing overview and compare tiered pricing strategies to determine the best option for your store.
Choose your tiered pricing strategy
Price Products individually is the default setting. If this is the strategy you want to use, proceed to create your pricing tiers.
Otherwise, to select a different strategy:
- Go to the Settings gear and select Store Options, then scroll to the Tiered Pricing Discounts section.
- Check the Enable Tiered Pricing Discounts box.
- Select your desired option:
- To combine identical Products, select Identical-Product Tiered Pricing.
- To combine Products of the same tier, select Standard Pricing.
- To combine all Products, select Combined Pricing.
- When prompted, select OK to confirm.
Create and edit pricing tiers
Now that you've chosen your tiered pricing strategy, you're ready to create your pricing tiers.
To Add a Pricing Tier:
- Go to Inventory > Pricing Tiers
- Select Add Pricing Tier
- Enter a name for your pricing tier. This name will appear in Back Office, and can optionally be shown on Menu Feeds, but otherwise is not customer-facing.
- Enter a Weigh Heavy.
- Set your pricing for each weight threshold.
- If you use Inclusive taxes, enter your desired tax-included price.
- If you use Exclusive taxes, enter your desired pre-tax price.
- If you use Patient/Member pricing, select Add Patient Pricing/Add Member Pricing and enter your desired prices for each weight threshold.
- Select Save.
- Repeat the above steps to create additional tiers.
To Edit a Pricing Tier:
- Go to Inventory > Pricing Tiers
- Select a tier.
- Make your changes and select Save.
Assign Products to pricing tiers
Once you've added pricing tiers, you will have a Pricing Strategy option on the Pricing tab of each Product. By default, all Products are set to Standard (fixed price per unit).
To assign a Product to a pricing tier, select Tiered, then select the desired Tiered Pricing Model.
You can reassign a Product to another Tiered Pricing Model or change the Pricing Strategy back to Standard at any time.
Delete pricing tiers
- Reassign all associated Products to another Tiered Pricing Model, or change each Product's Pricing Strategy to Standard.
- Go to Inventory > Pricing Tiers and select the tier you want to delete.
- Select the options button, and then Delete.
