What if a unit-based item appears on my manifest as weight or volume? - Greenbits
This article applies to Greenbits.
If a unit-based item appears on your manifest as weight (grams, ounces, pounds, etc.) or volume (fluid ounces), you should accept it in the unit of measure that the vendor selected, then convert it to a unit-based Product.
For example, if you received 100 Blue Dream 1g pre-rolls, but your vendor entered it into the manifest as 100 grams instead of 100 units, receive it as grams and then convert it to a Blue Dream Pre-Roll (1g) Product.
If you don't convert this inventory, each time your budtenders sell this item on the Register, they will be asked to enter a weight manually. This can cause issues such as failing to enter the correct weight or holding up the line at the register.
Here's the workflow for receiving and converting:
- Receive the inventory as a weight-based or volume-based Product.
- Convert the inventory to a unit-based Product.
- Mark the weight-based or volume-based inventory as Not for Sale.
