FAQ: What are the medical transaction limits in Nevada?

Transaction limits vary from state to state, so transaction limits are built into Greenbits to help you stay compliant! 

In Nevada, medical marijuana cardholders can buy as much as five ounces per month, as long as purchases are limited to 2.5 ounces every two–week period. In Greenbits, medical sales have a potency limit of 3.5g or 1oz flower per purchase. These limits are in place to prevent overselling.

If a customer would like to purchase their whole limit in one visit, there are two options.

1. Budtenders with the ability to override the transaction limits can still ring up larger sized orders. Budtenders should inform the customer that the warning isn't sent to Metrc.
2. Budtenders without the ability to override transaction limits can sell the products in two transactions.

Note: Customer transaction history should be checked to ensure they are not exceeding their purchase limit over the course of multiple visits, but these limits should reduce the risk of overselling on a transaction by transaction basis.
