Factory reset your A&D scale for Dutchie POS (non-Elo devices)

This article shows how to return your connected A&D FX- or EK-series to factory defaults if you've changed your scale's configuration.

- This article covers your A&D scale for Dutchie POS.
- If your scale is already set to factory defaults, you can skip this article, and connect your scale to the Register.
- If you use a Dutchie Register Terminal/Elo device, or if you use Greenbits, use these scale configuration instructions instead:
If you're using the Dutchie Register web application on a Windows or Mac device, your connected A&D FX- or EK-series scale should be configured to factory defaults (2400 bps, 7 bits, even parity). Use the following instructions to return to factory defaults if you've changed your scale's configuration.

This operation returns all parameters to factory settings:

Reset your A&D EK-series scale to factory defaults
- Press and hold the SAMPLE button to enter the configuration menu. Release the button once the display changes to P-3.00.
- The display should then automatically change to Func. If not, press SAMPLE repeatedly until you see Func appear on the display.
- Press ENTER to access the serial configuration menu. You should see the display change to Poff 0.
- Press SAMPLE repeatedly until you see bPS.
- Press TARE repeatedly to select bPS 0.
- Press ENTER to save this setting.
- Press SAMPLE repeatedly until you see btPr.
- Press TARE repeatedly to select btPr 0.
- Press ENTER to save this setting. The display will change to End, and then CP hi.
- Press MODE to return to the normal weight reading display.
