This article shows how to return your connected A&D FX- or EK-series to factory defaults if you've changed your scale's configuration.

Things to know

If you're using the Dutchie Register web application on a Windows or Mac device, your connected A&D FX- or EK-series scale should be configured to factory defaults (2400 bps, 7 bits, even parity). Use the following instructions to return to factory defaults if you've changed your scale's configuration.

Reset your A&D FX-series scale to factory defaults

This operation returns all parameters to factory settings:

  1. Press the ON:OFF button to turn on the display.
  2. While pressing and holding the PRINT and SAMPLE buttons, press ON:OFF. The display should show PS. Release the PRINT and SAMPLE buttons.
  3. Press SAMPLE. The display should show CLr.
  4. Press PRINT. The display should show CLr with no flashing.
  5. Press RE-ZERO. The display should show CLr with Go flashing.
  6. Press PRINT. The display should show End and then return to the weighing mode.

Reset your A&D EK-series scale to factory defaults

  1. Press and hold the SAMPLE button to enter the configuration menu. Release the button once the display changes to P-3.00
  2. The display should then automatically change to Func. If not, press SAMPLE repeatedly until you see Func appear on the display.
  3. Press ENTER to access the serial configuration menu. You should see the display change to Poff 0.
  4. Press SAMPLE repeatedly until you see bPS.
  5. Press TARE repeatedly to select bPS 0.
  6. Press ENTER to save this setting.
  7. Press SAMPLE repeatedly until you see btPr.
  8. Press TARE repeatedly to select btPr 0.
  9. Press ENTER to save this setting. The display will change to End, and then CP hi.
  10. Press MODE to return to the normal weight reading display.
