Use Metrc Locations with Dutchie POS.

This document outlines how to enable Metrc location tracking and how to manage your inventory so you can split packages to move parts to another room.

Things to know

  • If you do not see Location Type, you will need to ensure you have appropriate permissions to Locations in Metrc, generate a new API key, and save the new API key in Dutchie POS.
  • You must assign a new Metrc ID when moving a part of a package from one room to another or splitting a package.

Contact Metrc

The first step will be to reach out to Metrc to ensure you have the proper permissions for Locations.  Please note that when you change permissions in Metrc, you need to generate a new APIKey and save it in Dutchie POS.

  2. Choose Create Packages
  3. Once you are in the package creation screen, type in the Quantity you are moving or splitting.

  5. Scan your Metrc Tag for the Package ID and the External Package ID as needed, then click on Create.

Tip

If you split a package in Metrc it does not automatically update in Dutchie. However, packages split in Dutchie will automatically update in Metrc. It is best practice to perform all inventory actions in Dutchie because changes made in Dutchie automatically push to Metrc.
