View customer transaction and product history at the Dutchie POS Register

Dutchie POS logs a history of each customer's transactions and products. You can access a customer's history at the register through the customer profile page or from a cart.

Things to consider

  • Transaction history shows the transactions associated with a customer, including sales, returns, and voids.
  • Product history shows the individual products a customer has purchased. 
  • You can view a customer's history by searching for the customer profile or from an active cart.

View a customer's history by searching

  1. From the main menu, select Customers.

  2. Search the customer name or customer number and press Enter on your keyboard.
  3. Select the pencil icon or Edit Profile.pos_guests_edit profile icon and button.png
  4. Click the History tab on the customer's profile.

  5. The customer's Transaction history is shown by default. Click the Product history tab to view individual products instead.
    Note: To show canceled transactions, check the Include Canceled Transactions checkbox. You can also download the transaction history to a spreadsheet by clicking the cloud button.

View a customer's history from the cart

When a customer is assigned to a cart, select View next to Purchase history.

Select the Transaction history tab to see history grouped by transaction or Product history to see individual products purchased.

View and edit transaction details

View the details of a transaction by clicking the ellipsis next to an entry in the table.

From the ellipsis, you can select:

  • Details - view more information about the transaction, print or email a receipt, or print labels.
  • Activity - view an audit trail of Dutchie user activity associated with the transaction.
  • Void - returns the items from the transaction back to your inventory and adds the transaction total back to your cash drawer. Learn more about voiding a transaction.
  • Payment - edit the payment method(s) and amount(s) if a cashier made a mistake. Learn more.
