Configure customer profile fields, doctors, and qualifying conditions - Dutchie POS

You can configure customer profile fields, doctors, and qualifying conditions in Dutchie POS. Learn how in this article.

Things to know

  • Some fields such as Status and Customer Type are always required and can't be changed to Show or Hide.

What types of information can you configure?

From the Customers > Configure section of the Backoffice you can:

Configure the information you want to collect for customer profiles

From the Fields tab, you can configure the information you want to collect for customer profiles. This page has separate sections for the POS (Register) and Backend (Backoffice) so you can set different field configurations for each.

For each profile field, select either:

  • Hide - the field will not appear on customer profiles and can't be edited. Use this for fields that aren't relevant to your operations.
  • Show - users can fill in the field but will not be required to.
  • Required - users must fill in the field before they can save or update a customer profile.

Customer Prescription

This section is for certain medical markets and does not appear for all locations. As with other customer fields, you can specify which prescription-related fields are required, shown, or hidden on patient profiles. Some may be required by regulation and can't be changed to "show" or "hide".

Loyalty Signup

This section controls which fields are required, hidden, or shown in the loyalty signup window when enrolling customers in your Dutchie Loyalty program from the Register. This helps ensure that staff are collecting phone numbers and email addresses for new loyalty members.

Profile Completeness (POS)

This section controls which fields count toward a "complete" profile in the profile completeness tracker in the Register. Choose Yes or No to specify which fields are required for a profile to be considered complete.
