Configure register guestlist statuses in Dutchie POS Backoffice
This article applies to Dutchie POS.
Guestlist statuses help you keep track of guests and their carts through each stage of their shopping experience and monitor the status of pre-orders and delivery orders from Ecommerce menus.
Things to know
- Guestlist statuses are location-specific.
If customers appear in the wrong status column when you scan them in, or if customers don't move to the correct status column at a given stage of the order workflow, you may need to update your guestlist status settings.
Go to Registers > Configure. Guestlist status is selected by default.
Under Statuses, you can:
- Add a new status.
- Click an existing status to change its name or color, or delete it.
- Click and drag statuses to change the order they appear in the Register.
Under Status settings, set a guestlist status for each of these scenarios/actions:
Status setting | Description |
Default status | Typically a setting for walk-in customers. We recommend using this status for customers who are walking into the store browsing and placing an order. |
Notify button (for pre-orders) | When you select the Notify button in the POS. Signals when a pre-order is ready for pickup. |
Pickup orders placed online | Used when an online order is placed and the customer intends to pick the order up. |
Delivery orders placed online | Used when an order is placed online and the customer has chosen delivery. |
New in store order | Use if your store currently offers Dutchie Kiosk or if your store uses a fulfillment model where orders are processed in the back of house. |
Skipped delivery order | |
Ready for delivery button | Used to note that the delivery process is complete and the order is ready to be delivered to the customer. |
Start route button | Used to note that the order is enroute to the delivery location. |
Be sure to Save your selections before leaving this page.
Guestlist statuses for delivery
By creating guestlist statuses for delivery, you can set automatic status updates so delivery orders can automatically progress through the guestlist status columns based on established events:
- The Delivery orders placed online status is triggered whenever a new delivery order is placed via Dutchie Ecommerce.
- The Skipped delivery order status is triggered whenever a driver skips a delivery in the Dutchie Register or Mobile Checkout, such as when the customer doesn't answer the door, can't pay in full, or can't show an acceptable ID.
- The Ready for delivery button status is triggered when a dispatcher clicks Ready For Delivery when managing routes at the Register.
- The Start delivery route button status is triggered when a driver starts a route in the Dutchie Register or Mobile Checkout.
- If you're using the Onfleet integration, you can also designate a guestlist status for Onfleet delivery completed.
