Delivery FAQs

Learn the answers to common delivery-related questions and troubleshooting scenarios.

Why am I getting the error message “Order Failed To Mark Ready for Delivery”?

The Ready for Delivery button posts the delivery transaction to Metrc, so you might get this error if any required information is missing or there is a discrepancy between Dutchie POS and Metrc, see Metrc Troubleshooting. It is important to ensure that inventory quantities recorded in Dutchie POS and those available in Metrc match. Discrepancies lead to a failure in generating manifests due to Metrc not recognizing the quantities as sufficient to fulfill the orders. When creating a delivery order:

  1. Be sure to completely enter all delivery information, including a title, driving instructions, etc.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Select Ready for Delivery.

How do I validate my Metrc key?

  1. In the Backoffice, go to Settings > Integrations > Metrc.
  2. Select Validate Key.
  3. In the event of failures, go to Metrc and regenerate the API key.
  4. Enter the new API key into Dutchie POS.

How do I process delivery orders if I don't use Mobile Checkout?

All dispatcher functionality in the POS works the same as it would if you were using Mobile Checkout, except that the route status will never change to Out for Delivery or Delivered because the driver isn't starting the route in Mobile Checkout.

Instead, close out delivery orders from the POS when the driver returns to the store. These orders still appear in the delivery view, and the dispatcher can still complete the Return to Store checklist.

How do I manually create a delivery?

  1. At the POS, look up a customer and start an order.
  2. Add items to the cart.
  3. Click the car icon.
  4. Enter required delivery info.
  5. Click Save.

The order then appears on the delivery view in the POS.

Why isn't the list of available teams showing up when I try to set up the Onfleet integration?

Try refreshing the integration settings page. If the teams that you configured in Onfleet still don't show up, uncheck the Limit scope of this key to the tasks it created box in the API & Webhooks settings in Onfleet.

Why didn’t my driver information carry over to Metrc?

The driver information may not be complete in Dutchie POS.

  1. Find the manifest in Products > Manifest > Wholesale.
  2. Click into an active manifest then click the Actions button. In the dropdown menu, go to Edit Driver to see the driver details.
  3. Go to Delivery > Configure > Drivers and look at driver information to ensure it is filled out.
  4. Go to Delivery > Configure > Cars and ensure car information is filled out.
  5. Compare driver and car information in Dutchie POS with what is listed in the database to ensure that it matches.
  6. Fill in any missing fields.
