View Digital Delivery Manifests and collect customer signatures in Dutchie POS

Learn how to collect customer signatures in the Mobile Checkout app or the Register with Digital Delivery Manifests for Dutchie POS.

With Digital Delivery Manifests drivers can avoid the hassle of printed delivery manifests, and collect customer signatures in the Mobile Checkout app (on smartphones) or the Register (on tablets).

Things to consider

  • Check your local regulations before using Digital Delivery Manifests. Some states require drivers to carry printed manifests and/or Metrc manifests, which are not accessible with this feature.
  • To protect customer privacy, Digital Delivery Manifests can’t be downloaded to a mobile device or accessed offline. When delivering to areas with unreliable wireless coverage, consider using printed manifests as a backup.
  • To collect signatures, turn on Require Signature In Mobile Checkout or Require Signature in POS for Delivery in the Backoffice under Settings > Location.
  • We recommend rotating your device to view manifests and collect signatures in landscape mode.

Digital Delivery Manifests in Mobile Checkout

View manifests

  • From the Select Cart screen, you can tap View All Manifests to scroll through all manifests for your assigned route.
  • When viewing a specific cart, tap View Manifest to show the manifest for the selected cart only.

Collect signatures

  1. When completing a delivery, tap Collect Customer’s Signature.
  2. Have the customer sign for the delivery on the screen. Customers can also tap View Manifest to review what they’re signing for, or tap the X to clear their signature and try again.
  3. Tap the check mark to accept the signature.

When you view the manifest again in either Mobile Checkout or the Register, the signature is included in the appropriate field.

When completing the Return to Store Checklist at the Register, the delivery order has a status of Completed - Signature Collected.

Digital Delivery Manifests in the Register

Digital Delivery Manifests are also supported for drivers who access the Register on a tablet instead of using Mobile Checkout.

View manifests

Click the 3 horizontal dots at the top of the cart view, then select View Delivery Manifest.

Collect signatures

  1. After entering a payment type and amount, select Customer Signature.

  2. Have the customer sign for the delivery on the screen. Customers can also tap View Manifest to review what they’re signing for, or tap the X to clear their signature and try again.

  3. Tap Save to accept the signature.

When you view the manifest again, the signature will be included in the appropriate field.

When completing the Return to Store Checklist at the Register, the delivery order has a status of Completed - Signature Collected.

View past manifests

To view past Digital Delivery Manifests that include the customer's digital signature:

  1. At the Register, open a customer profile or cart and click History. Or, if the delivery was today and processed on the same register, find the transaction in Sales history. Note that only users with View Register Transaction Data permission can access sales history.
  2. Click the 3 horizontal dots next to the transaction.
  3. Choose Download manifest.

  4. If the customer signed digitally, the manifest includes the customer's signature.
