Move inventoryLearn how to assign, manage, and move rooms and subrooms in Dutchie POS.
Things to consider
- Some Room settings require additional features or options to be enabled. Please reach out to Support or your Customer Success Manager to learn more.
- Ensure that your user role has the necessary permissions to view and move products to different rooms.
- If you manage multiple locations, ensure that the room settings are configured correctly for each location.
- A room can be set as both an Inventory Room and a POS Room, depending on your operational needs.
- Rooms and Subrooms can also be assigned and moved from Cultivation > Plants.
- Subrooms do not appear in reports. For instance, inventory reports will reflect an item's main Room location but not its Subroom (if applicable).

From Rooms, you can create rooms and subrooms and assign plants, inventory, and customers to them.
Different kinds of facilities require different kinds of rooms. Most retail facilities require a sales floor room, inventory rooms, and waiting rooms. Cultivation facilities require plant rooms and inventory rooms. Production facilities require inventory rooms.
