The pivot function can help you to organize and connect information in your reports. You can use the pivot function in Business Intelligence (BI) tools to build a report that displays budtender sales by category.
Things to know

- Business Intelligence (BI) tools are built on a platform called Looker, which has its own set of documentation and best practices. The steps outlined here may vary slightly.
- Select all these steps in the following order to ensure that the Pivot function works correctly.
Build a custom Butender Sales by Category report with BI Tools
In Dutchie Backoffice, go to Reports > BI Tools.
- Click Explore.
- Make sure the Data Type selected here is Sales.
- Click to expand the Employees dropdown.
- Scroll down and click Employee Name.
- Expand the Transaction Items dropdown.
- Choose the Pivot option for Categories.
- From the Categories dropdown, click Net Price.
- Click Run.
