You can use the Business Intelligence tool to build a variety of reports.

- Business Intelligence (BI) is an add-on service and not included in the standard Dutchie POS reporting package. If you are interested in adding BI tools, please reach out to Dutchie Support.
- Business Intelligence (BI) tools are built on a platform called Looker, which has its own set of documentation and best practices. The steps outlined here may vary slightly.
Build a Category Sales report in the BI Tool
In the Dutchie Backoffice, go to Reports > BI Tools.
- Click Explore.
- Click Find a Field.
- Search for the word "Type."
- In the transaction section, select the filter by field icon next to the word "Type."
- Click the filter box.
- Click Retail to filter your transaction only by this category.
- Click Find a Field
- Type the words "Is Void."
- Click the filter by field next to the word "Is Void."
- Change the filter type to the word "No." This will remove any voided transactions from your reports.
- Click Transaction Date to expand the Transaction Date fields.
- Hover over the word "Date” and click the Filter by Field icon.
- Enter a relevant time period in this section.
- Open the time range selector.
- Select a relevant time period to match the number you entered.
- Click Transaction Items to expand the Transaction Items table.
- Click Category.
- Scroll down and click Net Price.
- Click Run.
