Access saved items in the Business Intelligence (BI) Tool for Dutchie POS

In this article, learn how to save and access items using the Business Intelligence tool for Dutchie POS.

Things to know

  • Business Intelligence (BI) tools are built on a platform called Looker, which has its own set of documentation and best practices. The steps outlined here may vary slightly.

To access saved items in the Business Intelligence tool

  1. Navigate to Reports > BI Tools.
  2. Click Explore.
  3. Select the file folder icon. 
  4. Access your saved items.

Navigate saved items

  • My Folder: This is your personal environment. Only you can save or access items in My Folder.
  • Group Folder: Members of your user permission group for the BI tool can access and save items in the Group Folder.
  • Shared Environment: Users within your organization with B.I. Explorer permissions can view things saved in this environment.

Note that there are multiple levels of Shared folders. You can only save to LSP-level and Location-level Shared folders:

  • My folder (you can save to this folder)
  • Shared (you can't save to this top-level folder, which is labeled "no access" or has a padlock icon)
    • [LSP name]
      • [Location name]
        • Shared (you can save to this folder, which is shared with other users who have the necessary permissions for this Location)
      • Shared (you can save to this folder, which is shared with other users who have the necessary permissions for this LSP)
