The factory reset instructions in this article can be used as a general troubleshooting measure to address performance issues or errors.
This article applies to Dutchie Register terminal devices like the one pictured below.
Factory reset your Dutchie Register terminal
- Exit SureLock/Kiosk mode by tapping the screen 5 times, then enter "dutchie" when prompted for a password. (Skip this step if your device is not in Kiosk/locked mode).
- Tap Exit SureLock.
- Tap the Settings icon. This may be on your home screen or in your application drawer.
- Select System.
- Select Advanced.
- Select Reset options.

Select Erase all data (factory reset).
Caution: Do not select the "factory reset to EloView Mode" option. If you accidentally select this, follow the steps in the section below.
The device will restart and cycle through a sequence of screens like the ones below:
If you see a screen like the one below, select Enroll with GMS.
When complete, enter your Dutchie username and password.
If you accidentally selected EloView mode
Only follow these steps if you inadvertently selected Erase all data (factory reset to EloView mode) in the steps above.
- After the Dutchie logo screen, you'll see a screen like the one below. Swipe up on the ^ icon to pull up the password field.
- Enter the Control Panel password. This is likely 9m64u3, but verify the device's password in EloView settings.
- Tap the 3 horizontal lines to access the Quick Settings menu.

Select Admin.
- Enter the Admin password (the default password is 1elo)

Select Settings.

Select Android Settings.

Select System.

Select Advanced.

Select Reset options.

If the Sticky Boot Mode option is showing, turn it off. Then select Erase all data (factory reset).
If no factory reset option is showing, hard reset the device.
- When prompted, confirm the reset and tap Erase all data. Confirm if prompted, then device should reboot.
- Once rebooted, choose Enroll with GMS.
- Follow the on-screen prompts. The device will need to be reconnected to Wi-Fi and may check for updates before beginning an automatic setup sequence that may take up to 15 minutes.
