Wireless barcode scanner troubleshooting

Before proceeding to advanced troubleshooting steps, complete the following troubleshooting steps for the wireless barcode scanner:
  • Check the USB cable connecting the scanner cradle to the Register terminal. Disconnect and reconnect the cable to the scanner cradle, ensuring both cable connectors are fully seated. Inspect the cable for any signs of damage.
  • Place the scanner in the scanner cradle to pair the scanner with the cradle.

The aiming light pattern doesn't appear when pressing the scan button

  1. If the scanner cradle light above the power indicator is not green, disconnect and reconnect the USB cable to both the charging cradle and Register terminal. Inspect the cable and replace it if there are signs of damage.
  2. If the scanner shows no lit LEDs when in handheld mode, the scanner may need to be recharged. Place the scanner in the charging cradle. A solid green or slow-blinking amber battery indicator LED on the scanner indicates a successful power connection. If the LED is a fast blinking amber or is off, there may be a power connection issue on the cradle or scanner.
