Turn on "Use Package Based Potency" in Dutchie POS to calculate non-flower item potency using batch-specific lab results, supporting Alaska’s purchase limits.
About Use Package Based Potency
Use Package Based Potency is a setting that calculates the potency of non-flower items based on batch-specific lab results instead of product-level static lab results.
- This feature is designed to support Alaska's potency-based purchase limits. You should only enable "Use Package Based Potency" if you are an Alaska based business.
How to turn on package-based potency
- In the Backoffice, go to Settings > Integrations > Metrc.
- On the Settings tab, set Use Package Based Potency to Yes.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update.
How it works
Once you've enabled Use Package Based Potency, Dutchie POS uses lab results automatically fetched from Metrc (if available) or manually entered package-level lab results to calculate the potency of non-flower items.
Enabling this setting also disables the Flower equivalency field in package details, which will be greyed out and show a calculated value.
