Learn how to set up an integration between Dutchie POS and Springbig.
Things to know
- Springbig users will need to retrieve an access token or API key from Dutchie.
- If you are using Springbig loyalty, you’ll need to disable all Dutchie POS loyalty. Reach out to your Dutchie representative to have Dutchie POS loyalty disabled.
- If you want discounts configured in Dutchie POS to apply before Springbig loyalty discounts, go to Settings > Location in the Dutchie Backoffice and enable the Apply Alpine IQ and Springbig Discounts Last setting.
Integration workflow
- Enable Springbig in Dutchie POS
- Configure discounts
- Sign up a new member for Springbig
- Redeem Springbig loyalty at Dutchie register
- Add loyalty indicator to customer cards
Enable Springbig in Dutchie POS
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Click on the Springbig card.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Fill out the necessary fields and choose the settings you want enabled.
- Click Save.

If you're integrated with Dutchie Ecommerce, log in to Dutchie Ecommerce Admin and go to Settings > Integrations > Dutchie POS > Settings tab. Check the box for Redeem Reward at POS.
This makes it so customers' loyalty points aren't deducted from their wallet until the order is completed in Dutchie POS instead of when the customer submits their order in Dutchie Ecommerce. This allows dispensary staff to apply the reward at the POS without deducting points twice.
Configure discounts
For the discount to function in both Springbig and Dutchie, the discount needs to be created in both systems with a matching discount ID. To configure discounts:
- Go to Marketing > Discounts.
- Click Create discount.
- On the details tab, fill out the information for the discount.
Note: In the Offer/Reward dropdown select Springbig reward you want to associate with this discount. This list consists of discounts that have been created in your Springbig account. Learn more.
Springbig rewards configuration
- Select Settings from the menu dropdown.
- Select rewards/offers.
- Click +new reward.
- Fill out the applicable fields.
Note: Use the same information you used in Dutchie POS. - Click the Update button.
Note: Once you click update discounts should be functioning in both Springbig and Dutchie. \
Sign up a new member for Springbig
You can sign up new and existing customers for Springbig loyalty directly from the Dutchie Register. You can sign up members through the cart menu, or at checkout through the opt-in checkbox.
From the cart
- With a guest profile assigned, click the Register for Loyalty button.
- Confirm all the fields in the Loyalty Registration window are correct and click the Sign up button.
If you don't see the Register for Loyalty option, contact Dutchie support and ask to have the Register Loyalty Popup and Signup customer features enabled.
Opt-in at checkout
- After adding the items, click Select Payment Type.
- Select a payment type.
- Check the Sign Customer up for Springbig box.
Note: Dutchie does a phone number lookup to see if the member already exists in Springbig. If the customer’s phone number is attached to a profile in Springbig the Opt-in checkbox will not appear at the POS. - Click Pay.
Redeem Springbig loyalty points
Loyalty points to be redeemed or accrued during a store visit, the customer must be enrolled in the Springbig Loyalty Program.
- Add or scan items into the cart.
- Click the three dots … button.
- Select Redeem SB from the dropdown.
- In the redeem window, you will see all available offers and point balance.
- Click Add to select the offer or reward you want to redeem.
Update member
A Springbig member’s information is updated when their profile is updated in Dutchie Register and a transaction is completed. Changes made to the member account in Dutchie will be reflected in Springbig.

- Click Add to select the offer or reward you want to redeem.
Add loyalty indicator to customer cards
To help budtenders quickly identify customers who are loyalty program members, update your customer cards to include a loyalty indicator icon:
- Go to Settings > Registers.
- Select Configure.
- Select the Cards tab.
- Check the box for Loyal vs. Non-loyal.
- Click Save.
- A star icon will now appear on loyalty members' guest list cards and carts.
