Enter or update your Metrc API key and license number
Hybrid licensees must enter or update their Metrc API key and license number to the assigned Hybrid version. Refer to this tutorial and this article for details.
Configure Metrc settings to record sales by customer type instead of license type
Only do this the day before you go live with recreational sales and after closing hours.
- Go to Configuration > Integrations > Metrc > Settings tab.
- Find the dropdown for Report Sales by and choose Customer Type.
- Find the dropdown for New Maryland Allotment Check and choose Yes.
- Click Update to save these settings.
Configure Metrc purchase limit settings
Refer to the steps this article. Enable allotment checks for medical customers and use Dutchie purchase limits for recreational customers.
Recreational customers' purchase limits are enforced based on the limits you configured in Dutchie POS, while allotments for medical customers are tied to the Metrc allotment check.
Require individual user API keys
Individual user API keys make it possible to associate a specific Dutchie POS user's actions with the corresponding user in Metrc. Without this, Metrc won't receive information about who is doing what in Dutchie POS.
- Go to Settings > Integrations > Metrc > Settings tab.
- Set Require Individual User Keys to Yes.
- Ensure each user has their individual API key populated under Integrations > User Key
- Each individual's API key can be found in their Metrc account.
- The Metrc API key can be copied from the Metrc API Key screen to the Dutchie User Key screen by clicking the user's Metrc profile and selecting API Key from the dropdown.
- Navigate to the User Key section in your Metrc settings page in Dutchie Backoffice
- Select the user you wish to apply API Key to.
- Then, paste the API key from Metrc into the text field and click Save
- Repeat this step for all users.
- Please note that users require specific permissions in Metrc to effectively transact sales. Please see Metrc’s supplemental guide for Maryland for more details.
