Explore ways to adjust inventory in Dutchie POS Backoffice.
There are a couple of ways you can adjust inventory in the Backoffice. When making adjustments, both quantity and weight can be adjusted. This may be used when discrepancies exist during an inventory audit or when some inventory needs to be disposed of.
Go to Products > Inventory in Dutchie Backoffice.
Things to know
- You must provide a reason for your adjustments. Depending on your state and settings, you may need to configure your reasons, or they may come from your traceability system.
- If you’re integrated with Metrc and have user-specific Metrc API keys, make sure each user’s key has the proper permissions for adjusting inventory and retrieving adjustment reasons. For more information about user keys, see Troubleshoot Metrc inventory adjustment failure in Dutchie POS.
- Inventory adjustments are noted in the product journal.
- You must have the appropriate inventory permissions to perform these actions. An admin must go to Settings > Users to add or change permissions.
Adjust inventory
- Go to Products > Inventory.
- Select the inventory you want to adjust from the inventory list.
- From the next screen, click the Actions button, and select Adjust.
- Choose the adjustment type (incremental or absolute), the quantity, and the reason for the adjustment.
- Depending on your permissions and whether you're integrated with a state traceability platform, you may also have a Bypass state system. If checked, the adjustment will not be reported to traceability. This may be necessary if, for example, a quantity was updated in Metrc and you are now adjusting Dutchie POS to match Metrc's quantity.
- Bypassing your state system is not always compliant or recommended. Contact Dutchie Support or your compliance officer for advice on whether this option is appropriate for your specific situation.
- Click Adjust.
