Learn how to configure product and inventory fields in Dutchie POS.
Dutchie POS allows you to customize which product and inventory fields are hidden, shown, or required when managing your Product Catalog and receiving inventory so you can streamline data entry and ensure your employees are entering all necessary information.
You can also set some cannabis-specific fields such as Batch, Strain, and THC Content to be required only for cannabis items.
- In the Backoffice, go to Products > Configure.
- Select the Fields tab. This page shows all the possible data fields for the Catalog, Package Detail, and Receive Inventory forms.
- For each field, select either:
- Hide - the field will not appear and can't be edited. Use this for fields that aren't relevant to your operations.
- Show - users can fill in the field but will not be required to.
- Required - users must fill in the field before they can save or update a product, package, or receive.
- Required if Cannabis - this option appears for some cannabis-specific fields that users will only be required to fill in for cannabis products/inventory.
- Click Save.
Note that some fields are always required and can't be changed to Show or Hide.
