This functionality is scheduled for release during the week of December 4-8.
Tribal medical cannabis program patients in Minnesota may voluntarily provide proof of their tribal membership and affiliation for reporting purposes.
You can record this information in Dutchie POS by turning on the Tribal medical member customer type and the Tribal affiliation customer profile field. These are available in all markets.
Settings and fields
- In the Backoffice, go to Customers.
- On the Customers page, select Actions > Manage customer types.
- In the list of available customer types, make sure Tribal medical member is set to Show. Click Save.
- Go to Customers > Configure > Fields.
- In the Customer Profile (POS) section, set Tribal affiliation to Show. Click Save.
- When creating or editing a customer profile at the Register, select Tribal medical member as the Customer Type for any guest who provides proof of their tribal membership. Optionally, you can also record the guest's Tribal affiliation.
Reporting
In Minnesota, sales to tribal members are reported to Metrc as an External Patient sale but are not reported to OMC.
The MN Transaction Report (under Reports Operations) includes the following required information about your sales to tribal members:
- Tribal affiliation.
- Serving size and Servings per unit. These columns meet the requirement for "the amount and dosages of medical cannabis distributed".
- Ingredients. This column meets the requirement for "the chemical composition of the medical cannabis distributed".
- External Package ID. This column meets the requirement for "the tracking number assigned to the medical cannabis distributed".
