Inventory management: Access Package History and Journal - Dutchie POS

Dutchie POS' Package History and Journal tools can be used to help manage inventory and troubleshoot discrepancies. Access both tools at the inventory level.

Things to consider

  • The Package History shows information about when the quantity of items changes and who performed this action. 
  • The Journal allows you to see all changes that have happened to a catalog item or related packages, as well as related information.
  • You can also audit users' actions with the user event log. This tool shows changes made to all packages or products over a given time frame, rather than focusing on specific package and products.

Package History

Package History is good for seeing when a quantity is changed and who changed it.

  1. Go to Products > Inventory.
  2. Select a product. 
  3. Click the History button.

If you click the gear icon in the column line in Package History, you can configure the columns that will display by default. You can also change their order.

Access the Journal from Package history 

The Journal allows you to see more history about the product. The Journal is a good place to see all the actions that have taken place with the package and who performed them.

  1. In the Package history window, click View in Journal

If you click the gear icon next to on the column line in the journal, you can configure which columns to see by default. You can also drag and drop the columns to change their order.
