List POS transaction details for a specific timeframe using the POS Transactions by Date report.
The POS Transactions by Date report lists POS transaction details in the specified timeframe. The report includes data such as Customer, SKU, Category, and Descriptions of the items sold. You can also see order type, order source, budtender name, cost and profit information related to the products sold when this report is run. All this information can be leveraged to identify transactions and trends to help run your business.

Getting started
Access
To access this report:
- Go to the Reports module in the Backoffice.
- Click Sales and search POS Transactions by Date in the search bar.
- Click on the report name to bring up the report page.
Default dates and search criteria
This report can be run for all locations or just the one you are logged in on. All Sales Reports use order date as the search criteria, and each record pulled is related to close or completed orders.
Using the POS Transaction by Date report
This report is best used to summarize an entire transaction so you can slice and dice this data for further sales trends. The POS Transaction by Date report can help you identify:
- What was the wholesale inventory cost vs profit made for each SKU?
- What were your gross sales and net sales for each product SKU?
- What was the sales data on a given transaction for each product sold on that transaction?
- How many grams were sold?
- Which transactions were walk-ins vs online orders?
Note: This report meant to capture POS transaction data for a specific date. If you are looking for broader data related to POS transactions, the POS Transaction Summary may be a better choice.
Column configuration
Columns in this report can be rearranged or removed to give you a better snapshot at the exact data you want to see. After running the report, if there are columns you wish to configure, click the Settings gear on the right hand side of the report table to unselect a column and drag and drop the column order.
Descriptions and calculations
The table below provides a description of each of the columns in this report and whether this field is calculated or is base data. Calculated data type describes columns that are made up of multiple points of data being combined such as Net Sales, Gross Sales, or Total Inventory Sold. A Base data type describes data derived from a single point of interest such as a Package ID, Category, or Location Name.

Location Name | Base data | Name of the specific location under an organization in which the data on the report is associated. |
Order Date | Base data | The date the order was completed. |
Order ID | Base data | Unique number / identified attached to an order that identifies the sale. |

Patient Medical Card ID | Base data | ID number on the patient's medical card. |
Product SKU | Base data | SKU number assigned to the product. SKU formats can be customized in certain markets and generated when creating or editing a catalog item. |
Category | Base data | Category assigned to the product in the catalog. Typically the Category is connected to the Master Category. Ex. If the Master Category is Edibles, the Category may be gummies. |
Product Name | Base data | Name of the product setup in the catalog. This catalog field determines how the product name is displayed in the inventory and register. |
Prescription ID | Base data | Dutchie's internal ID assigned to a medical prescription. |
Total Weight Sold | Calculation | This field is calculated by multiplying the units sold by the unit weight sold. For non-flower products, the grams/concentration value is multiplied by # of units sold. For weight-based flower products, this is the total weight sold in grams. |
Gross Sales | Base data | Gross Sales in this report represents the Gross Sales Price for the specific item sold. t |
Discounted Amount | Calculation | Total amount of the discount(s) applied, excluding loyalty as discount. |
Loyalty as Discount | Calculation | Amount of loyalty applied as a discount toward the pre-tax amount of the item. |
Net Sales | Calculation | Gross sales minus discounted amount, returns, and loyalty applied as discounts. |
Budtender Name | Base data | Name of the person completing the sale. |
Fulfillment Budtender Name | Base data | If using the a fulfillment model, this is the name of the person fulfilling the order before the sale is completed. |
Inventory Cost | Base data | Wholesale cost of the inventory. |
Inventory Profit | Calculation | Amount profited from the inventory sold, which is calculated as Net Sales minus the Inventory Cost. |
Return Date | Base data | Date an item was returned. |
Order Source | Base data | Order Sources are custom values configured in the backoffice. Stores create these based on their workflows and will also choose a default Order Source. However, you may see a more comprehensive value in this column based on the API. |
Order Type | Base data | There are 4 order types, which are configurable in the backoffice. The types are (1) Walk in, (2) Curbside, (3) Pickup and (4) Delivery. However, you may see a more comprehensive value in this column based on the API. |
