Enable non-integrated manual payments in Dutchie POS

Your CSM or Dutchie Support can set up a Manual payment button in registers that you can use to record payments made through non-integrated payment processors.

Things to know

  • Contact your CSM or Dutchie Support to enable non-integrated payments and let them know which payment processor(s) you use.
  • We currently do NOT support manual payments in Mobile Checkout and Curbside orders.
  • When enabled, your non-integrated payment processors appear under the Manual payment button in the Register. You can also select non-integrated processors when changing payment type on past transactions.

Use manual payment options at the Register

  1. Add items to a cart.
  2. Click Checkout.
  3. Select the Manual button.
  4. Select a Non-integrated processor
  5. Enter the payment amount and click Add.
  6. Process the payment on the non-integrated payment terminal.
  7. Click Pay in the Register to record the payment and complete the transaction.

Workflow notes for non-integrated payments

  • You can opt to use the Credit, Check, or Gift Card tender types to track non-integrated payments if you are not using a listed processor on the manual payments approved list.
  • You should build your cart as usual, select Credit, Check or Gift Card as the payment type, then process the sale on non-integrated payment solution. Once the sale is complete on the third party terminal, return to the POS payment screen to enter the total amount of the sale and finalize the transaction.

Closing and Transaction report notes

  • When the Closing Report is run, manual transactions show up in the ledger as Manual.
  • When the Transaction Summary report is run, 3 columns will display data relevant to this change:
    • Method - Displays the method used to tender the transaction.
    • Manual - For split payments or regular manual payments, this shows the total collected using that payment type.
    • Processor - Displays the name of the non-integrated processor used when tendering the transaction.
