Overview
We're making some upgrades to improve the performance and reliability of our platform. As part of this effort, your Dutchie account is being migrated to a new customer environment. One of the key benefits you'll notice post-migration is the increased stability and reliability of our new environment. We understand how crucial it is for you to have uninterrupted access to our services, and this migration will ensure just that.
Here’s what you need to know
Once your exact transition date is assigned, we will be providing in-app messaging as well as additional emails with detailed information. The only change required on your end is to use a new URL. All accounts, store data, registers, integrations, and API keys will transfer over seamlessly.
In the week leading up to your scheduled migration, we will send you your new URL to replace bluegate.pos.dutchie.com and bluegate.backoffice.dutchie.com, along with the exact date of your migration. We are beginning the first of these migrations in early May 2024, and our goal is to complete all migrations by the end of June.
Actions for you to take
In advance of your migration
- Start using your new URL immediately once you receive and update bookmarks inside your browser. If you have Dutchie-branded Elo devices, you must follow the instructions to update your Elo device in the appendix of this article to repoint your application to the new URL.
Following your migration
- The morning following your migration, we recommend performing a few test transactions. Focus your attention on adding items to a cart and applying discounts to the transaction.
- Note: DutchiePay settlement, PIN Debit Settlement, and ACH return reports will be delayed for 24 hours after your migration.

Appendix
How to update your environment on Elo devices
If you’re currently using Elo devices, you must log out of your devices after the migration and select the appropriate region that the location was moved into.
Here’s a quick overview to navigate this
We will deploy an in-app message to your devices showcasing your new URL or Region when logging into your old environment.
Step-by-step instructions
- Enter your Region. Your Region name appears just after https:// in the URL you use to sign in to the Register on a computer.

Information technology preparation
- As a friendly reminder, If you have any type of web browsing blockers on your devices inside your facilities, you will need to allow access to your new URL so your staff can access your new environment.
- If you have Single Sign On or SSO implemented at your locations, we got you covered, our expert team of engineers will reach out to you directly and assist with this process during your migration. Will work with you or your IT team to make sure your configuration is set up properly.

- No, Dutchie has you covered. Dutchie will copy and replace any webhooks or API keys on your behalf.
- What is the impact on my Looker reporting?
- There should be no impact to this functionality pre or post-migration.

- No, all user data will already be copied over to your new environment for an easy transition.
