How Dutchie POS automatically combines identical inventory

Automatically combine identical inventory items when they're located in or moved to the same room in Dutchie POS.

When moving inventory, items will be combined when they have identical values for all of the following fields:

  • Package ID
  • Price
  • Grams/Concentration
  • Unit of measure
  • Product
  • Room and subroom
  • Inventory Status
  • Batch
  • Vendor
  • Flower Equivalent (or Med Flower Equivalent when Med/Rec is being used)
  • Rec Flower Equivalent
  • External Package ID
  • Inventory Date
  • Expiration Date

Items will not be combined when a new package is created through the Convert, Create Packages, or Sublot actions.

  • A new package ID can be the same as the source package if you choose (e.g. you can convert or create it into the same package but not combine it with another existing package of the same ID).
  • This will instead create new instances of the packages.

  • These packages will never auto-combine with a move action (the reason being not all the fields were copied over). For example, converting a package doesn't carry over the vendor, so the packages do not meet the criteria for a move auto combine.

  • Items will also not combine when a customer returns an item and the user selects the Returned to Inventory option.
