The DCC has approved the sale of two new product types: Flower prerolls and Infused prerolls. This article details the steps you should take in to configure these products and their purchase limits in Dutchie Backoffice to remain compliant.
Flower prerolls
You can sell flower prerolls to both medical patients and recreational/adult-use customers. Guidance for bother customer types are as follows:
Medical: The standard 90-day limit applies for selling prerolls to medical patients.
Adult use:
- Go to Products > Configure > Add Category to add a new flower preroll category.
- Make sure to map this category to the Flower Purchase Limit Category.
- In your Product Catalog, enter the weight of the flower preroll product in the grams/concentration field.
- Click Save.
Infused prerolls
Infused prerolls are exclusively for adult-use customers and are subject to concentrate purchase limits by the DCC.
To prevent medical patients from purchasing infused prerolls, follow these steps:
- In the Backoffice, go to Configure > Add Category (or, if you previously made this category, you can edit it).
- Under "Available For," select Recreational and Recreational out of state only.
- Map the Infused Preroll category to the Concentrate Purchase Limit Category.
- Create the product in your catalog. Upon selecting the infused product category, the product should automatically be restricted to Recreational customer types only under "Available For."

We advise conducting test transactions to confirm correct setup before running any real transactions.
