This article will walk you through the process of setting up a Google Play Console developer account so that you can onboard with Dutchie for your Android Mobile app. This account is essential for publishing and managing your Android app on Google Play.
Google Play offers two types of developer accounts, Personal and Organization:
- Personal Accounts are suitable for individual developers.
- Organization Accounts are for businesses and are required for apps in specific categories like financial services, health, and government.
For the Dutchie Branded Android mobile app, you will be creating an Organization Account.

Step 1: Sign up for a Play Console Developer Account

Grant Admin Permissions
- After inviting Dutchie, a new page will appear where you can set permissions.
- In the Account permissions section, find the Admin (all permissions) checkbox.

User Acceptance and Activation
- An invitation email will be sent to Dutchie.
- The user must open this email and click the provided link to accept the invitation. They must sign in with their Google Account to link it to your Play Console account.
- Once the user accepts the invitation, their name will appear in your "Users and permissions" list with the "Admin (all permissions)" role.
- You can verify the successful addition by checking the user list. The status next to Dutchie Users should change from Invitation sent to Active.
