Pay by Bank is a digital payment option that allows customers to pay directly from their bank account during checkout. Instead of using cash or a card, the payment is securely transferred from the customer’s bank to the dispensary.
This payment method uses the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network to move money quickly and securely between banks. ACH is the same system that powers direct deposit and online bill payments.
How Pay by Bank Works
Customer chooses Pay by Bank at checkout.
They log into Pay by Bank or Sign-Up to use their linked bank account.
Funds are verified to ensure there is enough balance to cover the order.
Payment is finalized at the register and processed through ACH and sent directly from the customer’s bank to the dispensary’s bank.
Customers are not charged until the order is finalized in the dispensary’s point of sale system.
What is ACH?
ACH (Automated Clearing House) is a U.S. financial network used for moving money electronically between banks. It’s managed by NACHA (the National Automated Clearing House Association) and is widely used for:
Direct deposit of paychecks
Online bill payments
Bank-to-bank transfers
With Pay by Bank, ACH is what makes the direct transfer possible — providing a secure, reliable, and widely trusted way to complete digital payments.
