Glossary

TermDescription
Brand

Represents a cannabis brand/manufacturer organization that creates and manages product content, connects with retailers, and oversees their product presence across multiple markets and locations.

Sometimes referred to as the “Parent Brand”

Catalog
Child BrandA sub-brand or product line that exists under a parent brand entity. Child brands allow larger brand organizations to manage multiple distinct brand identities or product families within a single Connect account, while maintaining separate catalogs and branding for each.
Connections (menu connections)The number of retailer menu products that are linked to a specific Library product or brand. When a connection is established, the retailer's menu displays the verified Library content (images, descriptions) instead of local POS data. This metric shows how widely a product or brand is being used across the Dutchie network.
Retailer Connections
Item Score

Each item is given an Item Score to measure how complete the item’s information is. Scores are based on a scale from 1-5 and are calculated based on whether an item has a photo, category, type, potency, effects and a description longer than 95 characters.

Item scores are not customer facing, and do not rank products, etc.

A Menu Score is the average Item Score on a menu.

Library
Match ScoreAn automated confidence rating that indicates how well a retailer's POS (Point of Sale) product aligns with a Library product. The matching system uses product attributes like name, brand, category, and other metadata to suggest connections between local POS inventory and verified Library products. Higher match scores indicate stronger alignment
Menu ScoreThe menu score is an average of all individual item scores and can be used to easily see if your menu needs some love.
MenuThe publicly-facing product selection displayed on a retailer's ecommerce site or ordering platform. Menus can pull product information either from the retailer's local POS data or from connected Library products in the Brand Port
