Once you have worked with Dutchie to create your Branded Mobile app, you'll need to get your customers to start using it. This article includes Google Play resources to help you promote your mobile app and recommendations from Dutchie to give your customers the best experience.
Marketing to customers
Add a download banner to your website
You can promote your app directly from your Dutchie E-Commerce site by using a banner that links to your Google Play Store listing. This gives customers who are browsing your site on their Android devices an easy option to download the app.
Google Play marketing tools
Google provides a suite of brand guidelines and badge generators to help you promote your app. These tools allow you to create official "Get it on Google Play" badges and other assets to link directly to your store listing.
Access Google Play Badges
To generate official badges:
- Go to the Google Play Badge page.
- Enter your Play Store URL or Package ID.
- Download the badge assets in various languages and formats (EPS or PNG).
Use QR codes
QR codes are an effective way to link directly to your app in the Play Store. You can display QR codes in-store, on receipts, and on other printed materials.
To create your own:
- Copy your specific Google Play Store App URL.
- Use a trusted QR code generator to create your code.
- Download the QR code image to add to your digital and printed marketing materials.
Links and badges
Including the "Get it on Google Play" badge in digital and printed marketing materials is the standard way to drive customers to your app.
- Digital: Use the badge in email footers, on your website, and in social media bios.
- Print: Add the badge to flyers, business cards, and in-store signage.
Google Play Brand Guidelines
It is important to follow Google’s rules when using their assets. Review the Google Play Brand Guidelines to ensure you are using the logos, colors, and badges correctly.
