View analytics for sent campaigns

Campaigns created and sent from Dutchie Backoffice provide stats on how the campaign is performing. You can use campaign analytics to see data such as the number of times opened, amount of times links were clicked, how many products were added to carts, and how many orders were placed. All of this data is derived directly from the sent email. To access these analytics:

  1. Go to Marketing > Campaigns.
  2. Select the campaign you want to see.
Note: Sent campaigns are indicated as ‘Sent’.
  3. On the Overview tab, access campaign insights.

  4. On the Content tab, you can review how the email content looks on both Desktop and Mobile. For campaigns in Sent or Sending status, you can also toggle a Heatmap to show which elements are getting the most clicks (red = more clicks; blue = fewer clicks) so you can fine-tune your content for future campaigns.

Delivery failure

Email

There are two ways email delivery may fail:

Hard Bounces

  • Email addresses that hard bounce (email doesn't exist, domain is invalid, email server permanently rejects) are automatically added to SendGrid's "do not send" list.

  • These addresses are filtered out from future campaigns automatically.

  • Hard bounces appear in campaign reporting under "failed deliveries".

Soft Bounces

  • SendGrid automatically handles soft bounces (inbox full, email server down, message too large, temporary issues).

  • SendGrid will continue to retry delivery for up to 72 hours on soft bounces.

  • After 72 hours without successful delivery, soft bounces convert to the blocked/deferral list.

  • Soft bounces that fail on retry attempts will appear in campaign reporting under "failed deliveries".

SMS and Push

Failed delivery for SMS and Push notifications means either the consumer did not opt in to receive SMS or Push notifications, the consumer has unsubscribed, or in the case of SMS, the phone number was invalid.

Reporting

  • Campaign reports separate unsubscribes from failed deliveries.

  • Failed deliveries include both hard bounces and soft bounces that failed on retry attempts.

  • This helps distinguish between customers who opted out vs. delivery issues.
