How do I manage my delivery vehicle information

Use this article to manage Dutchie POS vehicle profiles to ensure that make, model, and license plate details are accurately reflected on delivery manifests for state regulatory compliance.

What is the issue?

Many states require specific vehicle information to be included on the delivery manifest for traceability purposes. Compliance systems like BioTrack, Metrc, and CCRS may require different fields depending on the state. If car data is missing or incorrect, the dispensary risks falling out of compliance with state traceability laws, which can result in fines or license issues.

What's causing the issue?

This is a configuration requirement in the Dutchie POS Backoffice. Issues arise when new vehicles are added to the fleet but are not registered in the system before they are used for deliveries, or when required fields for the state's compliance system are left incomplete.

How do I solve the issue?

  1. Log into the Dutchie POS Backoffice.
  2. Navigate to Delivery > Configure > Cars tab.
  3. Click the button to add a new car.
  4. Fill out the available fields. Depending on your state's requirements, these may include:
    • Name, Make, Model, License Plate, License State, Year, Color
    • VIN (required in some states, e.g., New York BioTrack)
  5. Click Save.

When dispatching a delivery route, the car is assigned both when setting up the order for delivery and when creating the route. Select the car from the dropdown to assign it to the delivery. This ensures the vehicle information is included on the printed manifest.
