This article is for Admins or Managers who manage staff permissions in Dutchie POS Backoffice. It covers how to control which dispensary locations (LSPs) a user can access within the platform.
What is the issue?
A user may be unable to see a specific dispensary location, or they may have access to a store where they do not work.
What's causing the issue?
The most common cause is that the user's profile has not been granted access to the correct location(s). For organizations operating multiple locations, user settings must be configured for each store individually within the user's profile settings.
How do I solve the issue?
To complete the steps below, the person making changes must have the following user permissions enabled: Edit Users, View Users, Bulk Assign User Locations.
Add a User to an LSP
- Log into the Dutchie POS Backoffice.
- Go to Settings > Users.
- Use the checkboxes to select the user(s) you need to update.
- Click Bulk actions > Assign to LSPs.
- In the Add LSP assignment modal, use the LSPs dropdown to select the location(s) the user(s) should be assigned to.
- Click Add.
- Ask the user to log out and log back in (or refresh their browser session) to see the updated access.
Remove a User from an LSP
The bulk Assign to LSPs action is used to add/bridge users to LSPs in bulk — it does not provide a way to remove users from LSPs. To remove a user’s ability to access or operate at a specific location, you can remove their permissions for that location:
- Log into Dutchie POS Backoffice.
- Go to Settings > Users.
- Find the user and click the three-dot icon (...) > Change permissions
- For the unwanted location, remove any permissions and/or permission groups that grant login or operational access (for example, Login to POS, Login to Backend, or that location’s role-based group).
- Click Save.
- After the user logs out and back in, they will no longer be able to log into or operate within that location.
