This article shows how Florida medical dispensary operators using Dutchie may sell non-cannabis and non-delivery device merchandise to customers who are not registered medical marijuana patients.
Enable the Non-cannabis customer type and assign customers
In the Dutchie Backoffice:
- Go to Customers.
- Select Actions > Manage customer types.
- Set the Non-cannabis customer type to Show.
- Click Save.
In the Register or Backoffice, create profiles for customers who do not have a valid medical marijuana card and assign them to the Non-cannabis customer type.
In the Register, check these customers in just as you would a patient and add items to their cart.
When you click Checkout, the Register will prevent employees from completing the sale if the cart contains any cannabis products or delivery devices as defined by the MMUR order type and Is delivery device fields in the Catalog.
