The Specials page in Dutchie E-Commerce uses a category filtering model and layout designed to help consumers find deals more easily.
The redesign includes category-based filtering (for example, Flower Specials or Edible Specials) and urgency badges. It also includes a "Shop Specials By Category" landing section with category cards, category landing pages (for example, a Flower Special Offers page), a sort dropdown, empty state messaging, mobile responsive updates, and updates to the home page carousel cards.
On the Specials page itself, every item shown is already on special, so shoppers browsing it don't need an additional filter to narrow it down further.
On category and product pages, shoppers can filter down to items with an active special using a single All Specials & Offers option in the filter sidebar (and its mobile/embedded equivalents).
Special offer cards display long titles across up to 3 lines before shortening, and special photos display in a 4:3 frame, with a neutral background for images that don't fill it.
Before you begin
- If you use Discount Sync from Dutchie POS, your point of sale discounts continue to sync to Dutchie E-Commerce and populate into the redesigned Specials page automatically.
- Dates on product cards can be toggled off.
What you'll be able to configure
Existing dispensary settings
The following existing settings affect how specials display on the redesigned page:
- Hide Discounts From Consumer: if enabled, this setting continues to suppress specials on your consumer-facing menu entirely.
- Discounts Sync: this setting continues to control whether specials created in Dutchie POS sync to your Dutchie E-Commerce menu.
- The specials themselves: you continue to configure your deals, BOGOs, timing, images, display names, and ranking through the discount builder in Backoffice.
Specials Page settings
Under Promote → Specials Page:
| Setting | What it controls |
| Categories → Category Tiles | Whether the category row appears across the top of the consumer Specials page. |
| Special Cards → Special Duration | Whether countdown timers/urgency badges showing days remaining appear on special offer cards. |
What won't be configurable
Most of the redesign is system-driven and doesn't require or allow manual configuration, including:
- Category cards and category filtering, which the system derives dynamically from your active specials
- The card design and layout, including title wrapping and image framing
- The sort dropdown options
- Breadcrumb navigation
- The Under $25 and Under $50 price threshold chips, which use hardcoded thresholds
- The All Sales & Offers filter on category and product pages
- The overall page layout and rollout schedule, which Dutchie manages internally
Reorder how special offers appear from E-Commerce discounts section of Dutchie POS
For customers with both Dutchie POS and Dutchie E-Commerce.
- Go to Dutchie POS Backoffice → Marketing → Discounts → Available on eCommerce
- Click Reorder on an item that is available on Dutchie E-Commerce.
- You can now reorder the special offer directly from this list.
Enable or disable the category row on the consumer Specials page
Use the Category Tiles toggle under Promote → Specials Page to show or hide the category row across the top of your consumer-facing Specials page.
Troubleshooting
Q: I don't see the new Specials page layout on my menu yet. Why not? A: The redesign rolls out gradually under an internally managed feature flag, so accounts don't all receive it at the same time. If you don't see the new layout yet, it simply hasn't reached your account. Reach out to your Dutchie contact if you'd like more information about your rollout timing.
