Dutchie MCP: what it is and how to connect your AI assistant

Learn what Dutchie MCP is, what it can do today, and where to find the setup documentation for connecting an AI assistant to your Dutchie data.

Dutchie MCP is Dutchie's implementation of the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Copilot connect directly to your Dutchie data without a custom integration built for each pairing.

Dutchie MCP is included with your Dutchie account at no additional cost. It is currently in early access and read-only, meaning it can surface and analyze your data, but it cannot yet take actions on your behalf, such as creating a discount or building a customer segment.

Things to know

  • Dutchie MCP is in early access and is rolled out gradually. Access is coordinated through your Dutchie sales or account team rather than self-enabled in your settings.
  • Dutchie MCP is read-only today. It can surface and analyze data across inventory, your online menu, loyalty, and payments, but it cannot create discounts, build segments, or otherwise change data in your account.
  • Your data remains yours. Dutchie does not sell customer data, and connecting an AI assistant through Dutchie MCP does not change that.
  • To use Dutchie MCP, you will need an AI assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol, such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot.

Connect your AI assistant

Setup steps for connecting an AI assistant to Dutchie MCP are maintained in the Dutchie developer documentation rather than in this help center. Visit Connect your assistant in the Dutchie Platform Documentation for the current setup instructions.

If you do not yet have access to Dutchie MCP, contact your Dutchie sales or account team to discuss early access.
